To Try Or Not To Try

TRY? Oh how I have come to dislike this word (lol). In cleaning up my language I have come to realize that the word “TRY” acts in my life as a hindrance to accomplishing my goals, even my daily task.

I really see it as an excuse….Check this:

Sabrina ” I will try to get it done for you today”
Michael ” I am tryin to get my business started”
Kati ” I may try that next year God willing”
Now look at the change in language
Sabrina ” I will get it done for you today”
Michael ” I am getting my business started”
Kati ” I will do that next year God willing”

There is more certainty WITHOUT the word “try ( can you feel it when you do ‘t say it?). Try gives us something to fall back on in the event that it does not work. How about removing ‘try’ from your vocabulary and go for what you say you would do.

Matthew 5:37: Let your yes be yes and your no be no…

    Have a great day!!
